Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Oats

Start your morning off right with this protein packed bowl of delicious oats



I can't resist the combination of chocolate and peanut butter. But instead of binging on peanut butter cups, why not indulge in a high protein meal that will keep you full all day? This bowl of oats packs a whopping 25 grams of protein thanks to a combination of peanut butter, egg whites, and chocolate protein powder. Not to mention they contain almost half your daily fiber and are so simple to make. What's not to like?


Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Oats


Ingredients


  • 1/3 cup quick cooking oats

  • 1 egg white only

  • 2/3 cup vanilla almond milk

  • 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder

  • 1 tbsp peanut butter

  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips

Directions


  1. Cut the banana in half and mash half of the banana in a small saucepan, reserving the other half.

  2. To the saucepan add oats, almond milk, protein powder, and egg whites. Stir to combine.

  3. Over medium heat bring the oat mixture to a boil, stirring regularly. Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes or until thickened.

  4. Transfer to a bowl and top with remaining banana, chocolate chips, and peanut butter.
